8 Days Left - Hard Parts Are Behind Us

I felt under the weather yesterday, so I didn't get much of anything done. But the boyfriend, despite still dealing with his skin issues, started packing things in earnest. He packed the stand mixer and descaled the espresso machine, took down wall art and paper packed the framed puzzle we have, booked the Uhaul and Amtrak for our friend who is assisting us, and today he called to set up the electricity for the apartment. A huge help.

Today I called to set up the internet and packed more. It looks like the apartment building's automated email systems are not working properly because both the boyfriend and I got emails today that we should have gotten a week ago.

But it's all okay because we signed the lease tonight and now we're just waiting for the building to sign it on their end and the whole apartment is as good as ours and WE'LL FINALLY BE MOVING GOD DAMN IT IN JUST A WEEK!!

Picotron

I've purchased Picotron seemingly on a whim because I realized that my idea for a cute, functional calendar app could be made in Picotron. I had been hesitating on thinking on this idea much further than, "What if?" because I didn't like the idea of making a phone app or desktop app. But making it in a pixel art fantasy workstation? I love the idea. And I had been wanting to think of a project to make something in Picotron for a while. So tomorrow I hope to start putting some time in.

Thinking About Tomorrow

I've figured out a more efficient way to pack some of the last of my cooking supplies so I'll be doing some reorganizing of them tomorrow, packing whatever I can that's left, and then hopefully moving on to packing the stuff on my desk. I'm going to try switching to my laptop for the last few days. That'll allow me to have it ready sooner for the move since I'll be on my laptop for a while until my desktop computer is moved over.
