I Try Hard To Try Hard

The theme of this past week and a half is definitely "trying hard is hard." Which, if you don't play Guilty Gear then you probably haven't heard this fun song in Strive. It's become a quick favorite of mine.

After a couple of clumsy days where I tried to be productive and failed, and then a Wednesday night where for some reason I got no sleep, I feel back on track today. I'm going to get the boyfriend and I back to playing regular chess matches, as well. I think we've settled into the apartment enough to restart some of our routines with some success. Although I have yet to really get back on the stretching routine... I'm just going to keep going easy on myself and treat July as the real wakeup call if I haven't gone back to my important routines by then. Moving is hard. And I try hard to try hard. :P But I don't always succeed, lol.

Todos

Chess

I've kept up my daily puzzles, but haven't done a match in weeks. I'm starting to get nervous to do matches again so I need to work through that sooner rather than later. I hate getting match shy.

I managed to finish the Season 3 battlepass within days of the reset. Ranks will also get reset, I think, but I care a lot less about that. I was only able to complete the Season 2 battle pass by paying at the end for missing so many days and I hated that. I already pay to unlock the paid tier so the least I can do is long in enough to finish the pass. I wanted to make sure I didn't make that mistake for Season 3 and I am happy I didn't. Now to wait for Kunimitsu!! She's looking really strong, lol. She's going to get a lot of hate after launch, I'm sure.

Drawing

I've made a lot of progress in my comfort with Clip Studio Paint. The trick was to just take my learning slower. Every option I was curious about I looked up and read, I looked through the menus myself, tested out tools myself. I made a brush to mimic what my Staedtler pens are like in real life so that I can do some of my drawing exercises on the go instead of carrying paper and pen. I'm using my tourbox a lot more and really starting to enjoy drawing again. I feel so close to getting back to my drawing routine. I just gotta keep taking it slow and do a little every day instead of trying to jump right in.

Thinking About Tomorrow

The only things on my mind are to stretch, do a chess match with the boyfriend, and getting a drawing done for the site and my streams.
